Jeffers has signed a short-term deal with Motherwell

Motherwell have signed former Rangers and Everton striker Francis Jeffers until the end of the season
The 30-year-old secured a move to Fir Park after leaving Australian A-League side Newcastle Jets
Jeffers, who has one England cap, failed to shine during his previous spell in Scotland with Rangers
Well boss Stuart McCall was keen to bolster his attacking options after Nick Blackman joined Aberdeen

Jeffers, who has been transferred for a total of £10.6m during his 13-year career, became a free agent after failing to agree a new deal at the end of his short-term contract with the Australian club
His previous clubs include Everton, Arsenal, Charlton Athletic, Blackburn, Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday as well as a 14-game loan spell with Rangers in 2005

He struggled during his time at Ibrox, failing to score and making half of his appearances for Rangers as a substitute
McCall had been seeking a new striker after Blackman, who had been on loan from Blackburn, decided to follow manager Craig Brown to Aberdeen, while Alan Gow was released at the end of his short-term deal
