World Premiere: The BMW 6 Series Convertible
Words like “breathtaking” and “irresistible” punctuate the history of BMW Convertibles. Now, BMW has opened a new chapter in the tradition of open-top cars. The new BMW 650i Convertible fulfils the wishes of the most discerning automotive enthusiast as The Ultimate Driving Machine® with groundbreaking luxury and crisp good looks. In the premium convertible market, the 650i Convertible presents a convincing case with the most advanced chassis technology and most innovative comfort, infotainment and safety features. A sweeping hood, aft-set passenger compartment, long wheelbase and muscular profile embody the hallmark proportions of a BMW Convertible. The new BMW 650i Convertible combines these features with a classic soft-top roof with flying buttress design. Powerfully contoured surfaces of its lines promise the anticipated BMW driving experience. The luxurious ambience of the interior is highlighted by a driver-oriented cockpit which wraps the front and rear passengers in a feeling of aesthetic security. Nowhere is the high-class functionality of the interior underlined more prominently than in the redesigned freestanding 10.2” Central Display of the standard iDrive control system. The 4.4-liter V-8 engine develops a maximum 400 hp between 5,500 and 6,400 rpm, and makes peak torque of 450 lb-ft between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm. The new 650i Convertible will go on sale in the Spring of 2011 as a 2012 model for the United States. Final pricing, options, and packages will be announced closer to the on-sale date.

World Premiere: The BMW 1 Series Coupe and Convertible Update
Powerful engines, the rear-wheel drive typical of the brand and inspirational agility make the BMW 1 Series Coupe and the BMW 1 Series Convertible stand out from the crowd. These vehicles possess characteristics that are unique in the compact premium vehicles segment. The unmistakable profile of the two models, which represent the entry into the BMW product range in the North American automobile market, is now sharper than ever. Thanks to targeted modifications, the new BMW 1 Series Coupe and the new BMW 1 Series Convertible accentuate the qualities that distinguish the brand even more intensely than ever – in dynamics, efficiency and premium quality. The new styling of the front apron includes, amongst other things, innovative air curtains that counter turbulence in the area of the wheel arches and so reduce the aerodynamic resistance of the vehicle. Further fresh accents have been set through the newly designed headlights and rear lights, high-grade, more refined controls as well as innovations in the selection of exterior paintwork, upholstery and interior trims. The updated 1 Series Coupe and Convertible will go on sale this Spring.

World Premiere: The BMW 1 Series M Coupe
For the first time, the coveted M badge has been granted to the popular BMW 1 Series in the form of the all-new BMW 1 Series M Coupe. The M badge was imparted after a two-year development process through which BMW M engineers and test drivers achieved the exceptional power delivery and the signature, near-perfect driving behavior of a BMW M car. “Eigenwillig,” a German word meaning “self-willed,” “individual,” and “determined to go its own way,” has been the proper word to describe the most unique and memorable M cars of the past three decades. With the original 1988 BMW M3 as its inspiration, the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe combines the raw capabilities of a race car with the agility, versatility, and seating position of a compact BMW Coupe to create a pure Ultimate Driving Machine®. In doing so, the 1 Series M Coupe continues the eigenwillig tradition of BMW M. With its latest two-door model, BMW M is illustrating its ability to build race car performance into a small car, capable of everyday use. The 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe will be available in limited quantities and with a limited range of options at Authorized BMW Centers in Spring, 2011. Final pricing, packages, and options will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
