Police found 120 marijuana plants in various stages of development at the home of a 25 year old man on Kaymar Drive. Charges are pending, as the DEA is investigating the crime scene to determine if federal charges are appropriate.
In addition, Police have issued five appearance tickets to those found with marijuana in various locations.
Appearance tickets were issued to 28 year old Erik Anderson of 100 Fairgreen, 25 year old Kerry Faircloth of 561A Allenhurst, and two other unidentified persons at 149 Fairgreen and 47 Fairgreen. All were charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
"Today's arrests are just another example of the great work being done on a daily basis by our Erie County Probation Department,"says Central Police Services Commissioner Peter M. Vito.
"This effort is also a great example of the good collaboration and teamwork we have with other area police departments. I'd like to thank Amherst Police for their help in this operation."
The estimated street value of the recovered plants is approximately $200,000.
